Sub-Registrar submits a proof to Deputy Chief Minister Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose that the Anti-Corruption Bureau officials planted money, taken from document writers, at his desk

Visakhapatnam: The surprise raid by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) made a surprise raid on Madhurawada Sub-Registrar's office earlier this month took a new twist. Sub-Registrar T Tarakesh meeting the Deputy Chief Minister of the State Subash Chandra Bose and explaining to him with proof that the raid led by the ACB DSP Ranga Raju was done with a mala fide intention. The Sub-Registrar said the ACB team seized Rs 61,500 from the document writers sitting outside the office and claimed to have seized it from the office staff.

However, the CCTV footage revealed a different version as it recorded the scene of cops collecting the money from outside and bringing in into the office. Tarakesh produced a pen drive containing the video footage to the Deputy Chief Minister. He said the ACB sleuths searched the Sub Registrar's desk at the office. However, on finding nothing, the cop brought cash from outside and 'planted' it in the office which is evident in the video footage produced, he mentioned.

Tarakesh saved the footage and handed it over to the Deputy Chief Minister for further investigation. A detailed letter claiming innocence was also submitted to the latter. The Sub-Registrar also recalled that after the raid, he was transferred to Tekkali overnight and he since he brought it to the notice of the higher-ups that nothing was seized from his possession, he was posted back to Madhurawada within a couple of days. With the complaint lodged by Tarakesh, things appear to be moving towards the right direction. It is learnt that Subhash Chandra Bose also brought the issue to the notice of Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy along with the officials concerned.

The Deputy Chief Minister took note of the 'overzealous' act by the field level cops of the ACB and wanted to interrogate it further. He was also explained by Tarakesh and other officials that the ACB sleuths were hand in glove with the document writers in targeting him.
