Visakhapatnam: Tourism Minister M Srinivasa Rao announced the establishment of a YSR Clinic at Venkatapuram on a permanent basis. On Saturday, he distributed cheques worth Rs 1 lakh each to 147 gas leak victims undergoing treatment at various hospitals.

Addressing gas leak victims at the Apollo hospital, Arilova, the Minister said Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy reached out to the victims immediately and filled courage in them. "The government has given compensation that no other Chief Minister had ever announced.

The entire quantity of styrene monomer inventory from the plant has been dispatched to South Korea. Medical camps have been set up in the villages and the government is very much concerned about the gas leak victims," the Minister said and urged them not to panic. Some of the gas leak victims shared their experiences on the fateful day.
