Visakhapatnam: LIC Working Women Coordination Committee gives away food packets to needy
LIC Working Women Coordination Committee (WWCC) came forward to give away food packets to the needy in times of the pandemic here on Wednesday
Visakhapatnam: LIC Working Women Coordination Committee (WWCC) came forward to give away food packets to the needy in times of the pandemic here on Wednesday.
General secretary of Insurance Corporation Employees' Union (ICEU) N Ramanachalam said that LIC was always in the forefront to take up charity activities. Convenor of the committee Sunanda said that earlier the members initiated 'wall of giving activity' wherein they supplied buttermilk to around 150 people daily during last summer. This apart the committee has also donated stationery, clothes and utensils to poor students and the needy.
As a part of the 'wall of giving charity' work, this year, the committee has taken up distributing food packets.
ICEU president Kameswari, vice-president K V Ramana Murthy, joint secretary P. Purnima, among others took part in the distribution programme.
