Vijayawada: Voters in the age group of 20-49 constitute 68 per cent of the total voters in Krishna district and they will play key role in the elections. Of the total electorate of 35,51,938 in the district, the voters in the age group of 20-49 are 68 per cent with 24,16,664 voters.

Collector Md Imtiaz on Monday released the details of voters in the district.

Total voters in the age group of 18 and 19 are 97,935. Men voters are 53,396, female voters are 44,524 and 15 are others. Voters in the group of 20 to 29 are 7,59,321. Men voters are 3,83,260 and female voters are 3,75,925 and others are 36.

Total voters in the age group of 30 to 39 are 9,08,346. Men voters are 4,45,787 and female voters are 4,62,490 and others are 69.

Voters in the age group of 40 to 49 are 7,48,997. Among them, men voters are 364811 and female voters are 3,84,158 and others are 28.

In all, the district has 5,27,755 voters in the age group of 50 to 59. Among them, 2,57,968 are men voters, 2,69,763 female voters and 24 are others.

Voters in the age group of 60 to 69 are 3,11,703. Among them men voters are 1,52,497, female voters are 1,59,195 and others are 11. A total of 1,52,104 voters are in the age group of 70 to 79. Among them 70,480 are men voters and 81,624 are women voters.

Number of voters over 80 years of age are 45,768. Among them, men voters are 20,859 and women voters are 24,909. The total voters in Krishna district are 35,51,938.
