World Vision India organises Graduation Day in Vijayawada
World Vision India, an NGO organised Graduation Day ceremony here on Tuesday.
Vijayawada: World Vision India, an NGO organised Graduation Day ceremony here on Tuesday. The organisation in Vijayawada was headed by Christopher Paul Raj, programme manager and Tabitha Francis, senior manager. An interaction and awareness programme was organised with the beneficiaries on the occasion.
Addressing the media, Christopher Paul Raj said that about 400 poor families from G Kondur, Ibrahimpatnam, Vijayawada rural and urban have been identified and they were given financial support to set up business for their livelihood.
He said that they have been helping poor physically challenged people, widows, people suffering from prolonged illness like HIV and TB to establish small businesses. They give training and create awareness to market their produce.
He said that they have been striving to facilitate community development, education, health and welfare works to develop the poor. The interaction programme was organised to know the development activities of the beneficiaries and to serve them better.
Daniel Raj, technical specialist, V Tirupathi Rao, G Konduru Ex-MPP, Basha, Zakir Hussain College principal, Ibrahimpatnam and beneficiaries were present on the occasion.
