Hitting a fresh hit for the fifth day in a row, gold rose Rs 910 to Rs. 40,720 per 10 gram of 22 carat and Rs. 990 to Rs 44,220 per 10 gram of 24 carat. , Silver also increased by Rs 1100 to 51,000 per kg.

The situation is similar in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam on Sunday, February 23.

In the national capital, gold advanced ₹940 to Rs. 41,600 per 10 gram of 22 carat while the rate of 10 gm of 24 carat also increased by Rs. 940 to Rs. ,42,800. And at the commercial capital Mumbai, the prices stood at Rs 41,500 and 42,500 respectively on Sunday.

The experts predict that the yellow metal would further increase in coming days due to the high demand in this wedding season.
