As the theatres are shut down from almost 3 months, all the movies which were set to hit the theatres are locked in the shelves. Thus the makers of movies like Gulabo Sitabo, Gunjan Saxena and Shakuntala Devi already announced that they are going drop their flicks on OTT platforms to entertain the audience.

Now, Hotstar took to its Twitter page and announced that Bollywood big movies like Abhishek Bachchan's 'Big Bull', Alia Bhatt's 'Sadak 2', Akshay Kumar's 'Laxxmi Bomb' and Ajay Devgn's 'Bhuj' are going to release on its OTT platform soon. These flicks have skipped their theatrical releases and have opted small screens to reach the audience straight from their home.

This big announcement is done Disney+ Hotstar a few minutes ago through the digital press meet. This online event had Bollywood stars like Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Varun Dhawan, Abhishek Bachchan and Akshay Kumar. These B-Town A-listers stated that they all are coming straight to our homes via Hotstar to entertain in his lockdown period.


In this post, our dear favy stars Abhishek Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan are seen sharing their opinions on the movie releases on OTT platforms…


They all were seen holding the clapboards and announced that their movies are going to hit Hotstar screens soon. Well, Akshay Kumar kick-started the live show and doled out that, we need to change our perception according to the current situation and adopt the new change. He also added that there are many merits of watching a movie sitting at home like convenient show timings and munching the food we like.

Ajay Devgn also participated in this lie show and stated, "We can make more films, we can make a different kind of films for theatres and digital platforms."

Akshay Kumar's Laxxmi Bomb is a remake of Tollywood movie 'Kanchana' which was directed by Raghava Lawrence. It is based on a transgender character who will be cheated. Being a horror one and Akshay Kumar essaying the title role of transgender, there are a lot of expectations on this movie.

Coming to Ajay Devgn's Bhuj movie, it is all about the Bhuj airbase in Gujrat… Ajay will essay the role of Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik who will be the in-charge of this air-base during 1971 Indo-Pak war. We need to watch how Ajay protects this airbase with his smart war techniques. This Abhishek Dudhaiya directorial also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Nora Fatehi, Sharad Kelkar and Ammy Virk in pivotal roles.

Next in the line is, Mahesh Bhatt's 'Sadak 2'… This flick is the successor of 1991 blockbuster Sadak movie which had Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt in lead roles. Well, the original roles of Sanjay and Pooja will be the same and Alia along with Aditya will join the story making it more interesting.

Producer Mukesh Bhatt spoke to PTI on Sunday and doled out that, "I am compelled to come (on the digital platform) because I don't see any light in the near future. This is the best I can do to survive. There are certain things that you do, not out of choice but out of compulsion. This is the only option left. It is a no-brainer."

Finally, Abhishek Bachchan's movie 'Big Bull' is filmed based on the life story of Harshad Mehta. It is a financial crime-thriller, Abhishek will play the lead role and the story revolves around him and the financial crimes that place in the 1990 – 2000. Directed by Kookie Gulati, this movie has Ileana D'Cruz as the female lead.

So guys, get ready to watch these Bollywood's highly-anticipated movies sitting at your home itself…
