An unheard story from yesteryears relating to Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth and famous Malayalam beauty and multilingual actress Shobhana has come to light much to the amusement of present-day cine generation. This was revealed by none other than Shobhana herself who shared screen space with the Thalaiva during the year 1989.

Shobhana, who has worked with several prominent south Indian actors of those days like Megastar Chiranjeevi, Daggubati Venkatesh, Rajendra Prasad, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Nandamuri Bala superstar Krishna, and others recalls the incident that took place during the shoot of "Shiva" directed by Amirjan.

In a sequence, Rajinikanth was supposed to touch the feet of Shobhana. But the actor was hesitant to do the scene and was seen trying to convince the producer and the director to avoid the shoot of the scene. But the team insisted that he has to execute that act not knowing its repercussions. Shobhana who was just a 20-year-old girl was wondering about the actor's attitude. But after the release of the movie, fans started cursing Shobhana, that is when she realised that Rajani fans would not allow or like Rajani falling at anyone's feet in spite of any scene demanding such an act in any movie.

Later Shobhana acted in two more movies with Rajinikanth and made sure there were no such scenes.

Rajinikanth was last seen in Darbar which fizzled out at the box office. He will be next seen in Annaatthe directed by Siva. The director is known for delivering hits like Viswasam which starred Thala Ajith in the lead role. Annaatthe or Thalaiva 168 is being bankrolled by Sun Pictures.
