Superstar vs Ultimate Star during Pongal 2021?

Two years after ' Petta' which brought him a lot of relief and box-office stability in the Tamil market at least, Rajinikanth has avoided a confrontation with Vijay for the present with his forthcoming release. As ' Annathe', a family social kind of a venture is now locked for a Pongal 2021 release, it is assumed that Vijay's much-anticipated flick ' Master' would be released by then.

The fight with his juniors would however be destined to continue, if Ajith Kumar's next ' Valimai' is poised for a Pongal release. Already the fans of the older hero had to maintain a dirty war with Thalapathy fans who declared him to be a bigger and successful star than Rajini. Now Ajith fans too had ridiculed the senior star for losing out to their dream idol in 2019 as box-office collections favoured the former.

It is now going to be early next year which would decide where Rajini would be placed ahead of the Assembly elections next year summer. Would he want to enter politics on a high or will the position make him take to future filmi assignments will be seen clearly, say observers.
