Superstar Rajinikanth and ace director AR Murugadoss are coming together for the first time. Rajini is playing a fiery cop in this social drama which is set in the backdrop of Mumbai.
Superstar Rajinikanth and ace director AR Murugadoss are coming together for the first time. Rajini is playing a fiery cop in this social drama which is set in the backdrop of Mumbai. The first look poster of this crazy project has been unveiled on Tuesday and it features Rajinikanth sporting a signature smile and he is flanked by trappings related to cops.
Murugadoss has officially announced the title as 'Darbar'. The regular shooting will commence in Mumbai shortly and Nayanthara has been finalized as the leading lady. The makers are planning to release the film for Pongal in 2020.
Music sensation Anirudh Ravichander will compose the soundtrack and Santosh Sivan will crank the camera. Lyca Productions will bankroll the film on a hefty budget.
Although '2.0' rocked box office in the two Telugu states, Rajini's action film 'Peta' couldn't strike a chord with the Telugu audience. On the other hand, Murugadoss delivered a hit in 'Sarkar' but tasted a flop with 'Spyder'.
