A Telugu Desam party leader Devibabu Chowdhary on Tuesday approached Election Commission of India in Delhi requesting the commission to stop the release of Ram Gopal Varma's 'Lakshmi's NTR', a biopic on late NT Rama Rao from the point of view of Lakshmi Parvathi.

'Lakshmi's NTR' is slated for release on March 22.

Devibabu Chowdhary lodged a complaint with the commission that the film is showing their party Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu in poor light.

The commission asked the Andhra Pradesh's Chief Election Commissioner to look into the issue.

This has irked Ram Gopal Varma.

The maverick filmmaker blasted the TDP leader.

He roared that no force in the world can stop the movie to get into movie theaters.

"Those from TDP party complaining to Election commission to STOP release of #LakshmisNTR because it might show the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister @ncbn in bad light should realise that no one can in hell can STOP TRUTH," he tweeted.

TDP is asking the EC that the movie should not be released at least the end of first phase of Lok Sabha polls (April 11) as it is showing Naidu backstabbing of NT Rama Rao.
