JEE Main 2021: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published answers to a list of frequently asked questions, requested by candidates for the next JEE Main 2021 exam, scheduled in 4 sessions. The first session of the exam is scheduled to begin on February 23.
The NTA has addressed concerns about the number of attempts, the new JEE Main 2021 format, application fees, the test centre, and others.
Advantages of multiple sessions in JEE (Main) -2021
The advantages of multiple sessions in JEE (Main) -2021 are as follows:
1. This will give candidates multiple opportunities to improve their test scores if they do not give their best in one attempt.
2. On the first try, students will get the first-hand experience taking a test and will know their mistakes, which can improve while you try next time.
3. This will reduce the chances of dropping a year, and the drippers would not have to waste a full year.
4. If someone missed the exam for reasons beyond their control (such as a Board exam), they will not have to wait a full year.
5. A candidate doesn't need to appear in all four sessions. However, if the candidate appears in more than one session, then her best
2021 NTA scores will be considered for merit ranking/list preparation.
The JEE (Main) 2021 exam will be conducted in the "Computer-Based Test" (CBT) mode only, except that the Drawing Test for B.Arch. it will remain in "Pen and Paper" mode (offline).
Has NTA changed the JEE (core) curriculum for 2021?
No, the JEE (Main) 2021 curriculum is the same as last year. However, considering the decision made by different Boards across India, NTA has said that there will be 90 questions in the question paper and that the candidate should attempt only 75 questions. There will be no negative score for 15 optional questions.
Can the fees be paid together for four sessions?
Yes, fees can be paid for all four sessions (February / March / April / May) at the same time.
In the beginning of December 16, the NTA began the online registration process for the 2021 JEE (Main). The last date to register online is January 16, 2021.
