Sampigehalli police arrested a man on Saturday in connection with an attempted theft at a jewellery shop
Bengaluru: Sampigehalli police arrested a man on Saturday in connection with an attempted theft at a jewellery shop. The accused Shakeyez Ahmed Khan alias Imran, 27, is a resident of Bengaluru rural. Police said that the accused ran away with some pieces of jewellery without paying.
According to the police complaint given by Balaji, owner of High Griva, a jewellery shop, Shakeyez escaped with some pieces of jewellery. "We have arrested Shakeyez and found jewellery worth Rs 10 lakh in his possession," a senior police official told The Hans India.
Shakeyez asked the shop owner to bring diamond-studded necklace and other pieces to his house for his womenfolk to check. When the shopkeeper carrying the jewellery reached Manyata Tech Park, the accused fled with the necklace.
