10 cows rescued from slaughter

Yalal: Activists of Bhajarang Dal from Pagidala village caught a vehicle transporting 10 cows on Sunday and handed it over to police. According to locals and the activists, the cows were being transported from Rasnam to Tandur for slaughtering on the occasion of Bakrid.

When the vehicle was stopped and questioned three people travelling in it, the incoherent replies by them raised doubts among them and they immediately informed the police.

SI Vithal Reddy rushed to the spot and inquired about the reason for transporting the cows. After finding that the cows were being taken for slaughter, a case was filed against the three, the SI said.
