Clarion call to cut down on use of plastic

AS Rao Nagar: Local Corporator Pavani Manipal Reddy on Wednesday organised a 'Swachh Bharat' programme, in coordination with the Kamala Nagar Colony residents, on the occasion of the World Environment Day.

She planted saplings in houses and entrusted their responsibility to the owners. Noticing a hotelier selling tea in a plastic cover, she sternly warned him and called for reducing the use of plastic items. Reddy threw light on the ill-effects of using plastic products.
