Himayatnagar: CPI bike rally taken out from Himayatnagar in support of RTC strike under the leadership of CPI leader ET Narsimha was foiled by police here on Friday. The police also arrested activists and leaders on the occasion.

Condemning the arrests, ET Narsimha said that the CM KCR would be taught a lesson for his attempt to suppress RTC strike and his dictatorial tendencies. He urged people to observe bandh on October 19 in support of striking RTC employees.

He questioned the police for stopping the bike rally which was being held peacefully. Holding the CM responsible for the RTC employee suicides, he said that irresponsible comments by the CM and his ministers led the employees to suicides.

He said that strike would not be withdrawn until the government conceded all the just demands of RTC employees. He warned the state government of intensifying the strike with the help of various employee, student and youth associations.

CPI leaders M Narsimha, SA Mannan, G Chandramohan Goud, Nerlakanti Srikanth, Salauddin, Kamatham yadagiri, Balu, Sriman, Harinath Goud and others participated in the bike rally.
