The District Superintendent of Police, Narayana said that the Genesh festival should be celebrated peacefully. He spoke during a meeting held here at a function hall with various religious heads on Wednesday. He asked people to use clay Ganeshas and youth should patrol the pandals during nights.

Tandur: The District Superintendent of Police, Narayana said that the Genesh festival should be celebrated peacefully. He spoke during a meeting held here at a function hall with various religious heads on Wednesday. He asked people to use clay Ganeshas and youth should patrol the pandals during nights.

He told them to start immersion in the morning and finish by night. RDO Venumadhava Rao said all arrangements were in place for the festival. Local Golla Cheruvu has been readied for immersion and a crane would be kept for easing the process.

Additional SP Bhaskar, DSP Ramachandrudu, Cis Ravikumar, Jalandhar Reddy, SIs and leaders of various associations were present.
