GHMC Election Results 2020: TRS fails in ministers' constituencies
GHMC Election Results 2020: The Ministers in the TRS government had to face the anger of the people as the party lost divisions in their constituencies. BJP has won in the divisions represented by Ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav (Sanathnagar) and P Sabitha Indra Reddy (Maheshwaram).
Hyderabad: The Ministers in the TRS government had to face the anger of the people as the party lost divisions in their constituencies. BJP has won in the divisions represented by Ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav (Sanathnagar) and P Sabitha Indra Reddy (Maheshwaram).
The TRS lost in three divisions under the Sanathnagar constituency represented by Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav. The party lost in the divisions of Monda Market, Ramgopal Pet and Ameerpet. During the 2016 elections the TRS party was victorious from these three divisions. The party managed to win three other divisions at Bansilalpet, Begumpet and Sanathnagar.
The party lost even in the divisions of Maheshwaram Assembly constituency represented by Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy. The party lost in all the three divisions including Gaddiannaram, RK Puram and Kothapet. The BJP defeated the ruling party candidates in these three divisions.
The party once again failed to win in the division in which Home Minister Md Mahamood Ali resides. The party could not win the Azampura division which has been won by the MIM once again. Md Mahamood Ali was the Deputy Chief Minister when the party lost in the previous elections.
Meanwhile, the party swept the divisions under the Secunderabad Assembly constituency represented by Deputy Speaker T Padma Rao Goud. The party retained the seats in all the five divisions including Sitaphalmandi, Boudhanagar, Addagutta, Tarnaka and Mettuguda. Interestingly the party changed candidates in majority of the divisions and gave the ticket to the only sitting Corporator in Sitaphalmandi division.
It would be interesting to see what would be the fate of the leaders who could not perform as per the expectation of the party in the Greater Hyderabad elections.
