Kawadiguda: The Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB) of Ministry of Information & Broadcasting conducted quiz and drawing competitions for school students at CGO Towers, Kavadiguda, on Friday. Dr G Sunil Kumar Babu, Director, National Commission for Scheduled Castes, who was chief guest, said the Constitution was a great gift given by the forefathers of the nation to the people of the nation. He recalled the contributions of Dr Ambedkar on the occasion.

S Venkateshwar, Director General, Press Information Bureau, said Dr BR Ambedkar has drafted a constitution which is acceptable to all, uniting all languages and regions of the country. Later, he distributed the prizes for the winners of the competition.

Addressing the gathering Shri P.Ratnakar, PIB Deputy Director appreciated the teachers for motivating students for participating in the event. He urged the students to be responsible citizens.

Students participated in the quiz held on the topic, 'Indian Constitution,' and showcased their creativity and thoughts on Swatch Bharat through their paintings. Around 100 high school students from government schools near Kavadiguda and Bansilalpet participated in the event.

The photo exhibition showcased rare black and white photographs of Dr B R Ambedkar, and his teachings, and his works. Haribabu, Assistant Director, ROB, and the officials of ROB participated in the programme. The RBO had earlier organised a one week photo exhibition from December 6 to 13 to mark Dr. Ambedkar's 'Mahaparinirvana.'
