Hyderabad: The newly inaugurated Khaitalapur Road Over Bridge (RoB) by Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Minister K T Rama Rao on Tuesday will provide a major connectivity between Kukaptally and Hitech City.

The RoB will reduce the travel distance by 3.5 km for commuters commuting between Hitech City and JNTU Kukatpally.

Speaking on the occasion, KTR said, "Under the Strategic Road Development Programme (SRDP) flyovers, roads, underpasses and RoBs are being constructed with an aim to provide better transport system in the city addressing all traffic issues and preparing infrastructure solutions for several decades in advance."

He informed that of the total works proposed, all the remaining and unfinished works will be completed by the end of the year.

Out of 47 works proposed under SRDP phase-I, 30 works have been completed and the rest works are in various stages and plans are being made to take up phase-II works.
