Lawyers hold protest, burn RSS chief's effigy
Lawyers belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes led by Gyara Satish conducted protests at the district court in LB Nagar against the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s remarks on reservations.
LB Nagar: Lawyers belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes led by Gyara Satish conducted protests at the district court in LB Nagar against the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's remarks on reservations. They expressed their anger by burning an effigy of Bhagwat.
Speaking on the occasion, Gyara Satish said, "BJP and RSS are trying to bring about changes in the Indian Constitution. They are just trying to sidetrack the important issues facing the country only to cover up the failure of the NDA government." Furthermore, Satish warned that they would intensify their struggle if the BJP or RSS tried to bring changes in the present reservation policy.
Lawyers Krishna Swamy Yadav, Chandrapuram Bhupathi, Bollepalli Krishna, Mancherla Vishnu Vardhan, Ponnam Devaraj and others participated in the protest.
