A man hanged his wife to death here on Saturday. According to Tandur CI Upender, Praveena and Balappa were in love for quite some time before they got married in 2018. Balappa soon started harassing Praveena suspecting her fidelity.

The woman had approached the police who in turn called the couple for counselling. The couple moved to Hyderabad for survival and returned to the home town three days back. It is learned that Praveen was six-months pregnant. Police registered a case after a complaint lodged by Praveena's sister Prashanti.
