Pushapagiri seer visits Mahankali temple
Jagadguru Pushapagiri Peetadhipati Vidyashankar Bharathi visited the Mahankali Temple here on Sunday in connection with the Ashada Jatara Mahotsavam and performed special puja to the deity. He also delivered a ‘pravachanam’.

In the afternoon, Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav visited the shrine and launched the 'Ghatotsava Edurkolu' programmme. He handed over decorative ornaments of the deity and puja material from the sanctum sanctorum to temple founder's family member Suriti Krishna.
Among those present were local Corporator Atheli Aruna Srinivas Goud, Deccan Manava Seva Samithi members, leaders of several voluntary organisations, devotees, Deity Ghatam Service members, 'potharajus', according to Executive Officer of the temple and Assistant Commissioner S Annapurna.
