It is being organsied jointly by Prabhuddha Bharat International and DICCI (Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry).

Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI) is an organisation that promotes business enterprises for Dalits. Prabuddha Bharat International (PBI) is an organization that follows the ideals and teachings of Babasaheb Ambedkar.

Many celebrities from the film industry, politicians, media, sports, social activists, Dalit entrepreneurs, professionals, businessmen, women, students, young boys, and girls are expected to participate in the run.

Also, hundreds of people will be participating in the run wearing blue T-shirts. "We are humans. There should be no consideration of caste. That was the idea and ideal of Dr. B.R Ambedkar whose birthday we are celebrating soon. He strove and thought for establishing a casteless society.

The best tribute to him would be to demolish the caste system," informed the press note issued by DICCI in the city on Thursday. Many social organisations including Oxley are supporting the event, which is the eighth edition since the year 2012. Nearly 10,000 people are expected to participate in the run. The response to the run is increasing each passing year, says DICCI.
