SFI holds rally to press govt on RTC demands
A huge rally was organised by SFI leaders on Thursday at Kukatpally, in support of TSRTC employees.
Kukatpally: A huge rally was organised by SFI leaders on Thursday at Kukatpally, in support of TSRTC employees. The rally started at Prashanth Nagar Bus Station and ended at Moosapet Bus Stand, with the submission of memorandum to the statue of Dr BR Ambedkar. CPI (M), JNTU-JAC, BJP, DYFI, CITU and unions took part in the rally.
Speaking on the occasion, SFI president for Medchal-Malkajgiri District M Sai Kiran said, "As a student union, we are extending our support to RTC employees, and we will stand with them till the end.
13 days have been completed since the strike began, but has not yet government responded to solve their problem and or to fulfil their demands. Presently, some 6-lakh students are facing issues in renewing their bus passes.
Contract bus conductors are not allowing students with student bus pass to travel. Closing of educational institutions is a major mistake committed by this government. In the end students will be the real sufferers."
