Secunderabad: Members of TSRTC Employees' Union (TMU) on Friday staged a dharna in Jubilee Bus Station demanding the merger of the corporation in the state government, job security for conductors and solving other problems.

Union president S Babu, who attended the programme as the chief guest, accused the TMU of failing to solve the problems faced by the employees. He listed problems of the employees, such as denying benefits to retired staff, ineffective rendering of CCS, neglecting RTC Hospital in Tarnaka and pending of wage revision for 28 months.

Babu also pointed out that the government's indifference to the losses caused due to rising diesel prices during the last four years show the lack of commitment. Hence, he wanted RTC to be merged in the government. He also demanded immediate wage revision, which has been pending since April 1, 2017.
