Tirupati: There is a special place for protection and worship of cows in Hindu Sanatana Dharma, said TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy while launching TTD Gudiko-Gomata (donation of cows to temples) for Telangana state. Launching the second phase of Gudiko-Gomata programme at Sr Venkateswara temple in Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad on Thursday, the TTD chairman said that the programme was sponsored by the HDPP and SV Goshala of TTD as part of campaign for preservation of desi cows.

He urged devotees to donate the desi breed of cows and calfs to TTD to take the program further in all four southern states.

TTD board members Govind Hari, Siva Kumar, DV Patil, other local advisory committee members were also present.
