Two-day workshop on MOODLE software held
The computer science department of Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala organised a two-day hands on workshop which concluded on Sunday. The workshop was headed by Prof K Srinivas, head, ICT, project manager of NIEPA, Government of India (MHRD) and CCE Academy officer C Anil Kumar with their concept designing and development in MODCs and MOODLE.
Vijayawada: The computer science department of Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala organised a two-day hands on workshop which concluded on Sunday. The workshop was headed by Prof K Srinivas, head, ICT, project manager of NIEPA, Government of India (MHRD) and CCE Academy officer C Anil Kumar with their concept designing and development in MODCs and MOODLE.
The main intention behind organising the workshop was using MOODLE software and develops concept designs like MODCs SWAYAM, SWAYAM PRABHA, NDL (National Digital Library), NDA (National Academic Depository) etc and teaches the students in a better way to learn easily.
The chief guest Srinivas said that teaching should be done in the way students can easily understand and grasp the subject. Students will not gain knowledge 'by hearting' the lessons, but through the lecture given by the faculty in the classroom for an hour, he said.
To recall the lessons taught by the faculty, he suggested use of technology such as internet online audio lessons, video lessons and PPT. Students can learn those lessons through Design, Develop and Delivery formula by using MOODLE app. College director Dr T Vijayalakshmi, Principal Dr M Nalini, department head K Anitha, faculty, students and others were present.
