Illegal sale of weapons in Visakapatnam district are on the rise. Police found that Anakapalli and Gajuwaka residents had bought guns from gangsters from Delhi, Haryana and Uttarakhand. In this backdrop, Delhi gangster Abhishek Bhardwaj has been arrested for supplying guns and on the other hand, Samrat Dali and Bunty Chat of Uttarakhand and Haryana were also arrested. The accused were brought to Anakapalli by the police and are being interrogated.

However, police are investigating as to who sold the guns in Visakhapatnam district. On the other hand, Loknatham committed suicide on the 27th of last month in Anakapalli of Visakhapatnam district. Police seized two guns and 18 rounds of bullets from his house. The case was registered and an investigation was launched.

The investigation revealed that Bhardwaj of Delhi was supplying guns to Loknatham and it was found that he was supplying guns from Bihar. Chukka Balagangadhar alias Raju Bhai of Gajuwaka Newport Colony bought a gun from a man and threatened a trader to pay Rs 6 lakh in Malkapur. Police investigating the case and have recently arrested three accused belonging to the gang.
