Visakhapatnam: Keeping the growing rush in view, city Police Commissioner Manish Kumar Sinha decided to deploy extra force on the Beach Road.

In view of this, surveillance at the stretch is intensified with the support of four teams, including law and order, traffic, armed reserve (AR) and marine police, formed exclusively for the purpose.

Community policing will also play a role in the security surveillance.

The AR police team will do the rooftop surveillance from Fishing Harbour to IT SEZ, while the area will also be monitored by AR and law and order police.

Traffic police will monitor parking and traffic streamlining. A team of marine police along with the community guards will keep a tab on those who venture into the sea.

With a total of 190 police personnel, Beach Road surveillance gets intensified, particularly during holidays and weekends, commencing from Saturday.
