13 dead as two cars hit each other on Bengaluru-Mangaluru highway
In a tragic incident, as many as 13 people lost their lives in a road accident when two cars collided with each other near Kunigal on Bengaluru-Mangaluru national highway on Friday morning.
Bengaluru: In a tragic incident, as many as 13 people lost their lives in a road accident when two cars collided with each other near Kunigal on Bengaluru-Mangaluru national highway on Friday morning.
The accident happened when a speeding car hit a divider and flipped over on the road, which was later hit by another speeding SUV. With the impact of the collision, nearly 13 people died on the spot and other sustained severe injuries. The injured were immediately rushed to the hospital, where two are said to be in critical condition.
The traffic on the Bengaluru-Mangaluru highway was jammed for over two hours due to the accident. Upon receiving the information, the police reached the accident site, registered a case and investigating further.
