The Cybercrime police of Cyberabad on Saturday arrested six persons for cheating a person to the tune of Rs 1, 85,000 by withdrawing the amount from his bank using the cloning technique of ATM card

Hyderabad: The Cybercrime police of Cyberabad on Saturday arrested six persons for cheating a person to the tune of Rs 1, 85,000 by withdrawing the amount from his bank using the cloning technique of ATM card.

The accused were identified as Eswar Pavan, Mohan Reddy, Shaik Karim, Rajendra, Babji Babu and Sandeep. K Srinivas, Inspector of cybercrime said that, they received a complaint from one Ramakrishna stating that while he was away at hospital for treatment some unknown persons had withdrawn the said amount from his bank using his bank account credentials.

Based on the complaint, special teams were formed and in investigation it was found that the main accused Eswar Pavan got the credentials of the victim from Shaik Karim and Shaik Karim got it from one event manager Vishnuvardhan (who is still absconding), said the Inspector.

He noted, "After receiving the bank credentials of the victim the two accused Eswar Pavan and Shaik Karim influenced the other accused Rajendra who used to work as a driver with the victim. When the victim was admitted to the hospital, he handed over his ATM card to Rajendra to withdraw some amount.
