When Prime Minister Narendra Modi was being welcomed at Houston airport on Saturday, he made a small gesture of picking up flowers that fell on the ground, which left netizens impressed with his humility.

PM Modi arrived in Houston, Texas on his week-long visit to the US, to attend the 'HowdyModi!' event on Sunday.

As soon as PM Modi disembarked from his aircraft, in Houston, he received a warm welcome by Indian and American officials at the airport.

in the video, it can be seen that one of the woman officials handed over a flower bouquet to PM Modi. During this moment, some flowers fell on the red carpet. The prime Minister immediately picked up the flowers and handed them over to one in all his security employees.

This presence of the mind of Modi left many on social media inspired by many thinking if the PM's gesture was towards 'Swachhta Abhiyan'.

"was that a belief of not crushing part of the plant with feet or was it it a gesture closer to Swachhta Abhiyan?," a Twitter consumer wrote.

"where PM Narendra Modi spontaneously picks up a flower or a stem, which had fallen on the ground from a bouquet presented to him, and hands it over to his security staff. Simplicity!" wrote another user.

Some Twitteratis said this was a manifestation of the down to earth nature of the prime Minister.

"A part of that bouquet fallen on the ground was picked up by NAMO. Such is the down to earth nature of our PM that he doesn't even care for any protocol," wrote a Twitter person.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to deal with the Indian community on the mega 'Howdy Modi!' event on Sunday, September 22 at the NRG stadium. Around 50,000 people are predicted to attend the event. US President Donald Trump and other officers can also be present during the event.
