The fifth phase of the 17th Lok Sabha election kick-start on Monday, voters from seven states will cast their ballots across 51 seats to choose from 674 candidates.

Dharmendra Deol, among early celebrity voters, took to his social media and shared a heartfelt message. He wrote, "‏My vote, my strength. Proud to be an Indian, world's largest Democracy. I pray, it should be the most loving Democracy, there should be a great unity among all the religions as it was before 15 the August 1947. Please, pray, your Mother land...be in peace"

Since the fourth phase of polling, Mumbai—the country's financial capital—recorded the highest voter turnout in three decades saw many celebrities casting their votes and urging fans to practice their democratic right.
