Budding Telugu actress Sai Sirisha surfaced at Banjara Hills police station at around 6.30 p.m on Tuesday after nearly three months of seclusion. She revealed the filthy details of her sordid ordeal that prompted her desertion. She narrated how her step-father, N Prasad Rao, would threaten her with dire consequences if she refuses his sexual advances.
Sirisha, who clicked to stardom by ‘Love Attack’ film had suddenly disappeared from her home. She was missing since May 27 when she left home to complete the shooting of ‘Love Attack’ at city outskirts. The parents did not file a complaint till August 17 with the Banjara Hills Police station. The information furnished by her step-father while lodging the complaint was also ambiguous.
Speaking to media, Sai Sirisha said she was not a minor as claimed by her mother. She faulted her step-father for his advances and said he did never treat her as a daughter. Instead he tried to take advantage of the dependance of her mother on him.
She looked crestfallen and found it difficult to come out on the treatment meted out to her.
According to Station House Officer, Banjara Hills., P Murali Krishna, the actress has been sent to Juvenile Home. Her statements were recorded and asked about her stay all these three months. Police will call her step-father tomorrow for questioning on Wednesday.
