Udaya Bhanu livid with producers

Claims that her publicity photos are morphed and the movie is marketed as a sleazy one

Hyderabad: Telugu TV star and actress Udaya Bhanu alleged that the makers of her latest movie ‘Madhumati’ morphed her images in the film and used them for publicity. She said that the makers gave her the impression of making a classic, but ended up making a sleazy movie.

The actress said that she was denied a preview before the release and hence she went to police, but didn't file a case against anyone. Speaking to the media later in the day, Bhanu broke into tears and alleged that a certain section of the media was giving her bad press deliberately. She narrated the struggles she had to go through to be able to watch her own movie. She condemned allegations that her press conference was a publicity stunt.

The producers of the film, on the other hand, alleged that Udaya Bhanu was resorting to cheap tricks to ensure publicity for her movie. They claimed that she never co-operated during the shoot or the promotion of the film. The audio of the film was released without her as she refused to attend the function.

The DCP, members of Movie Artistes Association, senior producer Tammareddy Bharadwaja along with the actress, producer and director of the film 'Madhumathi' saw a preview of the film and concluded that there was no obscenity or morphing of her images. The movie is made under Gomatha Arts banner by Kadiyam Ramesh and presented by Rani Sridhar. The movie was released across the State on Friday.
