The formation of Telangana state is not in the hands of local parties. The Centre has to decide on the issue. This was disclosed by Mr. Y S Jaganmohan Reddy during plenary session meeting M Manthaiah Adilabad: YSRCP honorary president Y S Vijayamma has said that party is ready to fight local body polls in the State. She said that in the absence of sarpanches in villages, several development works were not taken up. The special officers are not showing interest to take up works under various schemes. The people are not interested to vote in favour of the candidates sponsored by Congress or TDP, she commented. ``The two parties � TDP and Congress � colluded to give trouble to YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy,'' Ms Vijayamma alleged. Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu and Mr. N Kiran Kumar Reddy have been trying to keep Mr. Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in prison, she alleged and urged the people to elect the candidates nominated by YSRCP in the forthcoming panchayat elections. The State Government has been hesitating to conduct polls to local bodies as it fears that it would be defeated. In the normal course, the elections to municipalities and ZPs have to be conducted first and then polls to panchayats have to be conducted. But, this time, government is planning to conduct panchayat polls first, the YSRCP leader said. "The formation of Telangana state is not in the hands of local parties. The Centre has to decide on the issue. This was disclosed by Mr. Y S Jaganmohan Reddy during plenary session meeting, '' she said. Ms Vijayamma flayed the Government for delaying Pranahita-Chevella Project works in the district. Party leader Bajireddy Govardhan, former MLA Koneru Konappa, Boath Market Committee chairman Thula Srinivas, Ramkishen Reddy and party coordinator for Adilabad B Anil Kumar were present at the meeting. Earlier, Ms Vijayamma was given a rousing welcome by the party activists and was taken in a procession to the meeting venue.
