NSS, Red Cross conduct blood donation camp at SMK

Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala (SMK) students participated in a Mega Blood donation camp conducted by NSS and Red Ribbon division of Red Cross Blood Bank at Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala premises, said the principal Dr T Vijaya lakshmi on Tuesday. She said that the blood donation camp would help patients who are badly in need of blood for operations and other emergencies. She expressed pride at the students participation in the camp.

Vijayawada Parliament Member Keseneni Srinivas was the chief guest of the blood donation camp, he said that blood donation is a great service and appreciated the students for participating in blood donation camps. SMK students also participated in cultural programmes.

The CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu appreciated the management and the students for taking part in such service oriented camps. N Lalitha Prasad, convener, Dr S Madan Mohan, Medical officer Red Cross, T Nagarani, K Sarala, K Kavitha, NSS programme officers, Red Ribbon Convener, committee members, college lecturer and all the students were present at the camp.
