Making school children aware of bio-fuel

Painting and quiz competitions for school children were held to mark World Bio-Fuel Day under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas here on Friday. Students of Classes VIII, IX and X participated in the contests held at Sisu Vidya Mandir auditorium. Students from about 50 educational institutions attended the event. A video on bio-fuel was exhibited on the occasion.

A prize distribution function followed. HPCL manager B Ajay Babu, speaking on the occasion said that the programme was being held at 100 districts with the main aim of bringing awareness on bio-fuel among children. BJP state secretary J Shyam Kishore and other leaders also spoke.
