The 24th foundation day celebrations of Rajamahendri Degree and PG College for Women was celebrated in Sri Venkateswara Anam Kala Kendram here on Friday.

Participating as chief guest, Adikavi Nannaya University vice-chancellor professor Murru Mutyala Naidu has advised the girl students to imbibe confidence among them to achieve their goals.
From olden days women are playing pivotal role in various fields of the society and it is the duty of the girl students to emulate the great women leaders. At present women are competing with men in all fields and nothing is impossible, if they work with commitment and dedication.
College secretary TKV Reddy said that the college was started with 74 girl students in the year 1993 and is now having a strength of 1,250 students. College Chairman Dr Karri Rama Reddy, college director Dr Challa Satyavani, principal, teaching and non-teaching staff were also present.
