Cops book 99 cases from ‘Dial Your SP’ calls
Urban District Superintendent of Police Ch Vijaya Rao, has said that they booked 99 cases based on phone calls received through the ‘Dial your SP’ programme during November. He said that they received 1,183 phone calls from the public relating to the various problems.
Guntur: Urban District Superintendent of Police Ch Vijaya Rao, has said that they booked 99 cases based on phone calls received through the ‘Dial your SP’ programme during November. He said that they received 1,183 phone calls from the public relating to the various problems.
He informed that 59.5 per cent of the cases were related to road accidents. 5.9 per cent of cases were relating to disputes, 2.64 per cent related to civil disputes and 4.8 per cent related to suicides and attempt suicides. He said that they received 27.47 per cent of the cases related to the atrocities against the women and other cases.
They had booked FIR in 99 cases based on the phone calls and added that they had solved issues relating to the remaining calls. He said they had set up a separate team to solve the cases registered in the ‘Dial your SP’ programme and added that Blue Colts, Rakshak and station police officials would solve the problem as early as possible.
He warned that he would take stern action, if anybody furnishes wrong information to the police officials in this programme, and urged them to avail the opportunity to solve their problems and grievances. He sought co-operation of the public for the success of the programme.
