Tanuku: SKSD Group of Colleges, Tanuku celebrated 36th sports & annual day on the premises of SKSD Mahila Kalasala on Thursday.
Educational Institutions founder secretary and correspondent, Chitturi Subbarao presided over the programme said that the students should participate in sports and cultural activities besides concentrating on academics. Degree and PG College principals, Dr P Aruna and M Rajendra Prasad submitted the annual report of the college activities.
Andhra Pradesh Residential Schools former Deputy Secretary, BK Hanumantha Rao, the guest of honour at the event, suggested the students to concentrate on gaining knowledge. He quoted Swami Vivekananda’s preaching on the occasion, “No one should compare themselves with others; they need to trust in themselves and love themselves first.”
Former MLA and Founder Secretary and Correspondent of Dr Sabita Mahila Junior College, Palacole Dr Ch Satyanarayana Murthy addressing suggested the students to make use of opportunities that come their way to reach goals. College governing body member, Chitturi Usha Rani gave away the prizes to the Junior and Degree College students for their achievements in academics and sports.
Chitturi Venkata Krishna, Management Member; AO Dr D Subba Rao, treasurer Nandigam Sudhakar, Vice-Principals of Junior and Degree Colleges, Teaching, Non-Teaching staff, students NSS volunteers also actively participated in this meet.
