Sacrifices of freedom fighters invaluable
District Collector K Bhaskar has said that the sacrifices of the freedom-fighters are inestimable during the country’s freedom struggle. He felicitated freedom-fighters at the Republic Day celebrations held at Police Parade Grounds here on Friday.
Eluru: District Collector K Bhaskar has said that the sacrifices of the freedom-fighters are inestimable during the country’s freedom struggle. He felicitated freedom-fighters at the Republic Day celebrations held at Police Parade Grounds here on Friday.
The Collector, recalling the freedom struggle, stated that the people of the country were now enjoying the freedom that came with the sacrifice of innumerable freedom-fighters. He felicitated freedom-fighters, Mrs Garaga Venkata Ramana of West Wipparru in Pentapadu mandal and Gadde Venkateswara Rao of Dharmajigudem in Lingapalem mandal with a shawl.
MPs Maganti Venkateswara Rao (Babu) and Gokaraju Gangaraju, MLAs Chintamaneni Prabhakar and Badeti Kota Rama Rao, MLC Ramu Surya Rao, Mayor Sheikh Noorjahan, SP M Ravi Prakash, Joint Collectors P Koteswara Rao and MH Sheriff participated in the programme.
