Siddha starts red gram purchase centre
Minister for Forests, Environment, Science and Technology Siddha Raghava Rao inaugurated the red gram purchase centre set up by the Andhra Pradesh State Cooperative Marketing Federation (AP MARKFED) and National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Limited (NAFED) at Mundlamuru on Friday.
Darsi: Minister for Forests, Environment, Science and Technology Siddha Raghava Rao inaugurated the red gram purchase centre set up by the Andhra Pradesh State Cooperative Marketing Federation (AP MARKFED) and National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Limited (NAFED) at Mundlamuru on Friday.
Speaking to the farmers, Siddha Raghava Rao said that the state government had taken action to provide saleable price to the farmers producing red gram in the state. He said that the government was offering Rs 5450 per quintal and arranging purchase centres in the state. He asked the farmers from the Mundlamuru mandal to utilize the opportunity to sell their produce at the price fixed by the government.
The Mundlamuru mandal MPP Mandalapu Venkatrao, surpanch Medaramitla Venkatrao, MPDO Venkata Reddy and others participated in the programme.
