The Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation (RMC) has banned the movement of cattle on city roads with immediate effect as they have been creating problems to the people. The RMC Commissioner, V Vijayarama Raju said that two special teams were constituted to avoid cattle menace in the city.

Rajamahendravaram: The Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation (RMC) has banned the movement of cattle on city roads with immediate effect as they have been creating problems to the people. The RMC Commissioner, V Vijayarama Raju said that two special teams were constituted to avoid cattle menace in the city. One special team works from 6 am to 12 noon and another team works from 2 pm to 10 pm everyday.

Each team consists of three sanitary inspectors, three sanitary mastries and 15 sanitary staff along with a vehicle. The teams will catch the cattle moving on the roads and shift them to Bobbilanka village in Sitanagaram mandal, which is 25 kms away from the city. The cattle shifted to Bobbilanka shelter will not be given back to the owners of the cattle. He appealed to cattle owners not to allow their cattle to move on city roads.
