Minister administers polio drops to kids
Excise Minister KS Jawahar has started the Pulse Polio vaccination programme in Kovvuru on Sunday.He administered the vaccines to the children at the camp organised at Ramalayam in Kovvuru.
Kovvuru: Excise Minister KS Jawahar has started the Pulse Polio vaccination programme in Kovvuru on Sunday.He administered the vaccines to the children at the camp organised at Ramalayam in Kovvuru.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the Pulse Polio programme was started under 26 Primary Health Centres of three Municipalities in Kovvur division. He said in first phase, as many as 70,482 children below the age of 5 years were administered the polio drops.
The minister informed that the Government had given highest priority to education and health for all in the state. Besides the Pulse Polio programme on Sunday, the medical teams would visit the houses in all villages to administer the polio drops to the leftover children for another two days.
Kovvuru RDO YSVKGSL Satyanarayana Rao, Deputy Medical and Health Officer G Sailaja, Deputy PMO CH Trimurthulu, AMC Chairman Vegi Chinna participated in the programme.
