Warns those vandalising the statues of national leaders

botchaHyderabad: Coming in support of Union Minister for Tourism K Chiranjeevi, who demanded UT status for Hyderabad, PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana on Sunday asserted the need to address the status of Hyderabad and sharing of river waters before the bifurcation of the State.

Addressing the press at his residence here, he said Seemandhra people were demanding Hyderabad to be made either a union territory or a permanent capital for both states or a second capital of India. They were apprehending that division of State will make them lose the present state capital, thereby depriving educational and employment opportunities to their children.

In the present circumstances, the issue of status of Hyderabad is to be addressed before moving on to implement the T-decision, he said and condemned the remarks made by TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao against the government employees of Andhra region. It was not appropriate for any seasoned politician to make such statements at a time when the atmosphere is so charged, he said.

The PCC leader said Hyderabad belongs to people of all the three regions in the State. Nobody has got the right to ask Seemandhra people to leave Hyderabad and added that Constitution of India granted rights to every citizen across the country to live wherever he or she likes.
