Denying that they have buckled under the pressure of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to end the strike, APNGOs president P Ashok Babu said that no compromises are made by them on the issue of State’s bifurcation.
Speaking to media persons on Monday, Ashok Babu said that APNGOS were firm on resuming the protest once the Telangana bill comes to the State Legislative Assembly. He asserted that the agitation was only suspended by the NGOs. But it was not at the behest of anyone, for that matter, not even the Chief Minister.
Briefing on the resolutions adopted by Joint Action Committees of Employees, Teachers, Workers and Pensioners, he said that even the Chief Minister “cannot stop a movement.”

Their demands include sanction of 50 per cent Interim Relief (IR) before November 15 and with effect from July 1.
