Warangal: The Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS) is hosting a mega three-day conference and technology exhibition on its premises here from December 6 to 8.


The conference is being jointly organised by AP Technology Development and Promotion Centre (APTDC) and Acharya N G Ranga Agriculture University to promote technology in agriculture. Associate Director of Research D Vishnuvardhan Reddy, APTDC coordinator M Dinesh Babu, agriculture joint director A Rama Rao, and senior scientist C Cheralu said that the main objective was to take technological advancements to the doorsteps of farmers.


Speaking to press persons here on Wednesday, they said that there would be technical sessions and exhibition of latest agricultural equipment during the event. The event will be inaugurated by Agricultural Minister K Laxminarayana.


Agriculture University Vice-Chancellor A Padma Raju, Ministers hailing from the district, top officials of agriculture department and ICAR scientists will grace the occasion.


The event will specifically cater to farmers from Warangal, Karimnagar, Khammam, Nizamabad, Mahabubnagar, Medak and Nalgonda districts.
