The Telangana employees of Indira Kranthi Patham (IKP), vexed with additional work given to them by various government departments, have demanded regularisation of their services once Telangana state was formed.
Hyderabad: The Telangana employees of Indira Kranthi Patham (IKP), vexed with additional work given to them by various government departments, have demanded regularisation of their services once Telangana state was formed.
The work done by various departments including ICDS, district employment, agriculture, markfed, RWS&PR, Statistical, Housing Corporation, agri-land, dairy, SC/ST Corporation, adult education, DRDA, animal-husbandry, AP-diary, horticulture, SETMA, tribal welfare, disabled welfare, GCC-Girijana and private sector departments, was being assigned to IKP contract employees, they said. A meeting organised by Telangana IKP Udyogula Sangham at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram on Sunday was attended by several Telangana protagonists including MLA K Taraka Rama Rao, TNGO president Devi Prasad, IFTU state president SL Pama, POW state president Sandhya, Addanki Dayakar, TJAC spokesperson, Ravinder Reddy.
KTR criticised Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Lok Satta chief Jayaprakash Narayan, MP Lagadapati Rajagopal and several others who were against the bifurcation of state. He said that they were still under the illusion that they could stall the process of Telangana formation. He assured that the IKP contractors would be regularised if TRS comes to power.
